Neighbor yelled at me for having groceries delivered to “her” driveway

I live in a townhouse and share a driveway with my neighbor. We each have our side clearly marked. I sometimes order

groceries online, and the delivery driver usually parks in the middle for just a few minutes while unloading.

Last week, my neighbor stormed out while the driver was handing me my bags and started yelling that I was "blocking her property"

maybe five minutes, and her car wasn't even parked there at the time. She yelled that she doesn't

"allow" delivery drivers on her half and that if she sees it again, she'll "call the police for trespassing."

The driver just looked at me like, "Is she serious?" I apologized to him for the scene. Needless to say, I'm bracing myself for more drama the next time I order groceries.

tiffany1567 My neighbor accidently had their mattress delivered to my home when they first moved in because they got confused, and I just made sure they got their mattress. I just don't understand why your neighbor can't be neighborly.

Living-Assumption272 She's nuts, but maybe put in your delivery instructions for the driver to only use your side.

The-only-me Amazon and food deliveries would be in that driveway every few hours if she was my neighbor.

braknstuf Ask her to paint a line for clarity, but insist the line is not on your side at all. This will make her side smaller and should cause a minor explosion if performed correctly.

KyleKiernan77 It sounds like you inherited my old crazy Canadian witch neighbor. She screamed at the moving truck when we moved in and screamed at the moving truck when we moved out. The circle was complete.

username 0000 I would be out with sidewalk chalk writing all over her side with "caution, don't park here for deliveries" And then I'd draw a little bridge with a troll under labeled "driveway owner"

BayAreaPupMom I'm sure your HOA bylaws address this very situation. I would see what it says, because likely you will be able to rub it in her face. Maybe even report her to your HOA board for harassment.

Comfortable-Web3177 A lot of times in the delivery app you can instruct them on exactly where to leave the groceries and explain where your half of the driveway is just to not cause anymore problems

Zjeezy Maybe a quick heads-up note before your next delivery could prevent this unnecessary tension. Shared driveways require some flexibility.

blackcat218 Why do you Americans have such issues with delivery drivers driving on your driveways? Bent food deliver, amazon or whatever. Driveways are for driving on. That's what they are designed for.
